I’m Emily, a 23-year-old lady living in beautiful Austin, Texas. I write and blog professionally for a major personal finance Web site, but lately I’ve been feeling the need to spread my wings, so here I am. I graduated college last year and am still struggling to acclimate to the 8-to-5 world, no thanks to a chronic digestive illness (IBS) that greatly interferes with my life.
I am trying to find the time and energy to maintain my friendships and relationship while retaining my sanity and health. I am seeking balance and happiness in life, and this blog is about that quest and the things I learn along the way.
A little more about me: I am a semi-professional photographer (though it’s way on the back burner these days) and play cello, classically and with rock bands. I adore dogs (especially my rescue pup), travel, reading on my Kindle, dresses, politics, shoes and chocolate. I’m a huge film buff and am chock-full of useless trivia.
